Even if Chelsea were to beat Sir Alex Ferguson's side at Stamford Bridge there will still be a two point gap (assuming both teams win their next match) and that will require Man U to lose some three points because being equal on points will not benefit Chelsea at all because Man U has a healthy goal difference of 54 compared to Chelsea's 35.
Apart from the Chelsea match Man U are still to play two away matches to Blackburn and Wigan and then one home match against West Ham.
Interestingly, the Manchester side lost that match last season on the last day of the season. That may give Chelsea fans some hope.
Chelsea still has to play Bolton at home and then Everton and Newcastle away and they will have to win all those fixtures plus the home match against Manchester United to be able to wrestle the title from Old Trafford.
Against Wigan Chelsea had so many good chances to score which they failed to convert and when three points looked so likely Wigan pounced.
This last minute draw is similar to the other ones earlier in the season against Aston Villa and Everton where in both matches Avram Grant's side looked like it was about to get maximum points.
One of the reasons why Man U has got such a huge goal difference is that the team has been scoring so many goals in each match thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's scintillating form throughout the season and at home the team has been devastating in most matches and I cant remember a match where they tried to defend a 1-0 win.
On the other end of the table wins by both Fulham and Bolton last weekend has made the relegation fight even more interesting.
Now Birmingham and Reading are in greater danger with Wigan and Sunderland maybe needing just two more wins to be certainly secure.
I am sure its going to be an interesting end to the 2007/8 premiership season.
